Graduate student Dan LeVine completes MA, focusing on management implications for savanna vegetation of central Texas

Dan's thesis, titled "Spatio-temporal analysis of central Texas savannas: Integrating field data with remotely-derived data sources to inform ecosystem function and management" was officially accepted August 12th. His research combined structural field data collected in both Pedernales Falls State Park and private land in Hays County with remote sensing data to analyze ecosystem response to land management strategies employed in both study sites. These findings will help guide sustainable land management strategies for the central Texas region.
